Andrea Bocelli performed on the stage set up in front of Buckingham Palace for the concert celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne, the Platinum Jubilee. Singing “Nessun dorma,” he moved an audience of over 22,000 people, including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.
The album “A Family Christmas” was released, featuring for the first time the combined voices of Andrea Bocelli and his children, Matteo and Virginia. It includes new renditions of traditional songs and two original compositions. The album, featuring contributions from composer Stephan Moccio, quickly topped international charts: No. 1 on iTunes USA and Canada, and Top 10 in the UK, Norway, Ireland, Belgium, Australia, and Poland.
Alongside his children, Matteo and Virginia, Andrea Bocelli performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, in the presence of the new British royalty, at the “Festival of Remembrance” dedicated to the memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
Andrea Bocelli’s book “In cammino – Diary of a Pilgrim” was published by Sperling & Kupfer. It chronicles the three-week horseback pilgrimage made by the Bocelli couple from the heart of Christianity (St. Peter’s in Vatican City) to Lajatico, the Maestro’s birthplace. The narrative is an intense metaphor for life’s continual exploration and the discovery of essential values often muted in daily life.
The Bocelli family – Andrea with his children, Matteo and Virginia – held a record-breaking Christmas concert on the slopes of Mont Blanc. The performance, live-streamed on TikTok, was filmed from Punta Helbronner at 3,466 meters, the arrival station of the SkyWay, amidst the glaciers of the Alps.
