Universal Music Group released three new digital opera recordings featuring Andrea Bocelli in leading roles: “Lucia di Lammermoor” by Donizetti, conducted by Andriy Yurkevych; “La forza del destino,” conducted by Valerio Galli; and Giuseppe Verdi’s “Otello,” conducted by Steven Mercurio.

On the anniversary of the 18th and final appearance of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette, Andrea Bocelli sang sacred music to over 20,000 people at the Sanctuary of Lourdes. He dedicated the last song to Pope Francis and “for all those who suffer, and for peace in the world, because the world truly needs it.”
