Proclaimed around the world as the icon of the highest Italian vocal tradition,
Bocelli has sold in-excess of 90 million albums to date. He improved his singing skills under the guidance of his mentor, Franco Corelli, and initially became widely famous for winning the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994. At the same time, he started his dazzling classical career, performing masterpieces from the opera repertoire on stage – conducted by Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa and Zubin Mehta. The more recent recordings of the Tuscan tenor include Manon Lescaut conducted by Plácido Domingo, Turandot and – released in 2016 – Aida conducted by Zubin Mehta. In 2017, Bocelli recorded La forza del destino and in 2018 he recorded – and performed in theatre – Lucia di Lammermoor.

have participated twice in the National Prayer Breakfast (2013 and 2016) – in the presence of the President of the United States Barack Obama and several other Heads of State – in the dual role of artist and founder of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation. On both occasions, his performance and his speech received a double standing ovation.

In Autumn 2017 the film “La musica del silenzio”
taken from the autobiographical novel of the same title, written by Bocelli himself – achieved a resounding success among the general public and gained critical acclaim. The film, directed by Michael Radford, featured actors like Antonio Banderas and Toby Sebastian.

Bocelli's new album Sì was released in more than 60 countries,
after the release of the singles “If Only” and “Fall on me” in early summer; the latter is a duet with his son Matteo Bocelli, marking his music industry debut.
The new album contains duets with
Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Aida Garifullina and Josh Groban, and in just a few days it reached No. 1 on the U.K. and the U.S. albums charts, making history, as no other Italian singer has ever achieved such results.
Andrea was honoured by the Italian Republic
with a Grande Ufficiale Italian Order of Merit (Grand Officer of the Italian Republic) and he was bestowed the title of Ambassador of the Italian Republic of San Marino. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Opera Singing from the Music Conservatory “G. Puccini” in La Spezia and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Pisa, Italy.

During the Opening Ceremony of the World Economic Forum 2015 in Davos (Switzerland),
he was honoured with the Crystal Award, the prestigious recognition as an artist, a man, a philanthropist. In 2016, the University of Macerata bestowed him with an Honorary Degree in Modern Philology.
In 2011, he founded the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF)
with the aim of enhancing the wealth of relationships and the trust bond that he has been able to establish wherever he goes around the world, where he is inevitably considered a musical and ethical point of reference.
As part of his commitments in favour of solidarity, on September 8th 2018 the Tuscan Tenor held an extraordinary concert at Arena di Verona
(which aired on prime-time Italian TV channel Rai Uno the next day ), an epic show featuring opera masterpieces, with over four hundred artists on stage and some of the greatest international opera singers, as well as film and sports stars.
