Andrea Bocelli and Toby Sebastian, one day at Cinecittà for the new film
One day at Cinecittà with Andrea Bocelli for THE MUSIC OF SILENCE, by Michael Radford.
A cameo of the famous singer adapted from his autobiography.
To give face and voice to the character of Andrea Bocelli is the English actor Toby Sebastian (Game of thrones) who along with Antonio Banderas, Luisa Ranieri, Jordi Mollà, Ennio Fantastichini e Nadir Caselli make up the cast of the prestigious international project. And yesterday on the set, at Cinecittà, arrived the great singer to film a cameo of the film dedicated to him THE MUSIC OF SILENCE, based on the eponymous autobiography published in Italy by De Agostini and directed by the British director Michael Radford (Il Postino,Il mercante di Venezia). In front of the grand piano, on stage, soft lights all around, Radford’ shots capture the famous Aria by Puccini Nessun dorma that is being sung by the Tuscan tenor.
Everyone knows Bocelli’s voice, his songs, the famous Opera arias interpretations, his international popularity. But less is known of his childhood and of the path that led him from Lajatico, a little village, in the Tuscan countryside, to the laurels of his current career. The screenplay is by Anna Pavignano and Michael Radford in cooperation with Andrea Bocelli. The Music of Silence, whose shooting is under way in Rome now, and then in Tuscany, is produced by Roberto Sessa for Picomedia and Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi for AMBI Media Group.
